Description Hammersley (England) Gold Cobalt Flora C&S Size Cup: 5.1cm diameter, 8.9cm height Saucer: 14cm diameter This is a rare item with hand-painted gold and flowers on cobalt. The gold appears to be fine gold. The backstamp is the old Hammersley mark, which seems to have been used only between 1912-1939. This item was displayed after purchase. There is some fading of the gold on the saucer. There are also scratches and black spots on the back (photos 9 and 10).
