This is a cup and saucer set from Imaemon Imaizumi, a renowned Japanese kiln that carries on the tradition of Iro-Nabeshima. The cup and saucer are decorated with the traditional Iro-Nabeshima designs unique to Imaemon, and are all hand-painted. This was acquired by a family member who enjoyed collecting ceramics, and it was displayed in a cupboard with hardly any use. Please refer to the attached pamphlet for more information about Imaemon. It was difficult to reproduce the colors in the photos. It's not pure white, but a very faint, slightly bluish milky white.
