With a Mohs hardness of 3-3.5, it is very soft and fragile, making it unsuitable for processing, and it is generally enjoyed as an interior decoration in its raw form. Strontium, its main component, emits a vivid red flame when heated, so it is also used in fireworks. It is also called the "stone of angels" and is said to have a strong purifying and healing effect.
