This was back when there was still a musical instrument store in town. I was looking at harmonicas, and... "A harmonica? If it's a regular double-reed, I have a good one." It was a brand new, unused one hidden in the back of the shelf. I guess you could call it dead stock, haha. Sure enough, both the box and the harmonica itself were sparkling. And... while I was turning the box around, I found the price tag: ¥390! "How much will you sell this for?" "Since it's vintage dead stock, I'll sell it for 4000 yen." Assuming I was going to buy it, I checked to make sure it wasn't clogged... and bought it after having the store disinfect and clean it. Since then, I've been satisfied with the purchase and kept it in a drawer... The dead stock period is still going strong! This harmonica is still going strong, lol. It has a very soft sound, and I really like it, so I don't really want to sell it. So... The original price + one zero. Sparkling dead stock. Final rock-bottom price... only for immediate purchase.
