This is a used item. It is not a former rental. The sleeve case has yellowing, stains, and dents due to age. Regarding the disc surfaces, both the CD and DVD have some minor wiping scratches, but are generally in good condition. I do not know the condition of all playback devices, but they were playable in my environment. If you are okay with being able to watch/listen, how about it? No price reduction. Immediate purchase is OK. It will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped via Yu-Packet Post Mini.
