Unlike maki-e (sprinkled picture), the delicate "lines and dots" create a three-dimensional effect and depth. Wave Wheel Design: An auspicious design depicting a wheel in dynamic waves. The brilliance of the chinkin beautifully reflects on the calm color of the tame lacquer.
