Thank you for viewing. These are white tabi socks made of cotton, with four hooks, and a narrow width of 24.5cm. They are traditional white tabi socks with little stretch and a tight weave. These are "Tomoe Tabi," which were sold at the former Furuta Shoten in Gion, Kyoto. The store is no longer in business. I purchased several pairs in the past and stored the unused ones in a Japanese chest of drawers. Made of 100% cotton, they have little stretch, but I remember feeling a sense of composure when they fit my feet snugly after wearing them in. (Unfortunately, I no longer have the opportunity to wear kimono, and the size no longer fits me.) When measured with the hooks fastened, there is some error, but from the heel, 12cm up, the circumference of the ankle with the top hook fastened was about 21cm. I also measured a pair of the same tabi socks that had been washed repeatedly, but they hardly shrank, and the dimensions did not change. Although they have little stretch, they are somewhat flexible. Since they are narrow, please consider them if they fit you. Although they are unused, the outer bag has wrinkles. Please understand that they have been stored at home for a long time and have been handled for photography.
