The silver watch in photo 7 was my mother's watch for special occasions, and the gold one was a retirement gift from her to me when she retired at 60. Both of them have stopped ticking. I hate superstitions, but I've heard it's better not to keep broken watches, so I've decided to throw them away with a heavy heart. Instead, I have my parents' everyday digital watches displayed side-by-side in the living room.
