This item has been on a shelf in my parents' house for over 30 years. It is believed to have been purchased in China or Taiwan, but the details are unknown. It is a heavy lion-shaped ornament, and the lower part is an inkstone when the top is removed. The top can be used as a paperweight, the bottom as an inkstone, and the lion's mouth cavity can be used as a brush rest. The noticeable parts are indicated by arrows, but there are small chips in several places on the lid and bottom.
