Tak Matsumoto Signature Model Epiphone Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Standard/Antique Gold Takahiro Matsumoto (TAK MATSUMOTO) is a Grammy Award-winning guitarist, composer, and record producer. He has achieved great success as a session musician and solo artist, and is also known as the guitarist and main songwriter of B'z, the best-selling music unit in Japan. Epiphone is releasing the Inspired by Gibson Custom "Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Standard," inspired by the 1955 Les Paul that TAK MATSUMOTO has loved for many years. The Tak Matsumoto 1955 Les Paul Standard features a maple top, a TAK MATSUMOTO custom neck profile that slightly thins the 1959 neck, a laurel fingerboard, and a deep joint, which is the same body/neck joint as high-end models. The headstock features a mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo placed slightly lower, just like the 1955 model, and adopts a Gibson-style "open book" headstock shape. The bridge is equipped with a Gibson Historic Wrap Around bridge with intonation adjustment screws, and the strap pins are equipped with a ProRockGear strap lock set. The pickups are Gibson Burstbucker PRO Alnico 5, and the wiring is 50s style with vintage taper CTS potentiometers, Grey Tiger capacitors, a Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch, and an output jack. A vintage-style brown (pink lining) hardshell case with the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo and a replica of TAK's signature on the outside of the case is also included. Thank you for viewing.
