Terui Seisakusho started in the late Meiji era in Rokumachi, Morioka City (present-day Sakana-machi) as a tea and inn business. Along with the sale of tea, they began to handle tea utensils, and they also had an iron kettle factory next door. Later, the factory was relocated to Esashi Koji (present-day Minami-Odori), and in the 1950s, it moved along with other workshops in Morioka City with the opening of the handmade village. Unfortunately, Teruko-do (Terui Seisakusho) closed in 2008, and new, unused items are rarely available. Please forgive any slight errors as this is amateur measurement.
