This is a Japanese-made TF-801 made by Morris in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture in the 1980s. The manufacturing factory can be identified by the inspector's name following "Inspected by," which is HOKARI, indicating this particular instrument was inspected by Shin-saku Hokari. The top is solid spruce, the sides & back are jacaranda & maple, the neck is nato, and the fingerboard & bridge are rosewood. It has a 652mm scale length, 20 frets, and a set-neck joint. The 3-piece jacaranda & maple back is very popular. The jacaranda on the sides uses high-quality quarter-sawn wood, and the jacaranda on the back has a beautiful wood grain, giving a sense of high quality. While there are scratches and dents as a vintage instrument, the condition is good. It has the vertical Morris logo on the headstock, which is also jacaranda. It features beautiful inlay made of Mexican abalone, gold-colored tuners, and body binding. It's a model with a beautiful appearance and precise craftsmanship. There is some clouding of the metal parts and fading of the gold color due to aging, giving it a vintage feel.
