Raw glaze, small tokkuri (sake bottle) with sometsuke (underglaze blue) decoration. Raw glaze works with orchid motifs are seen in early Imari ware. However, I personally estimate this piece to be from a local kiln around the late Edo period. The shape and firing suggest this, and I have never seen anything like it before, so the kiln and era are completely unknown. It's small, and I initially thought it might be an oil tokkuri, but there is no smell of oil inside. The stains in the cracks are likely from sake. (I don't detect any unusual odors inside.) There are no significant flaws to note. I hope it catches the eye of someone who appreciates it. Type... Porcelain Type... Sake vessel
