This is a patchwork bag in the shape of a balloon. It's plump and round towards the bottom, and I think it has a cute form. The bottom is oval. The material used is batik. This is a wax-resist dyeing technique from Indonesia, and I've been carefully using it since I got it. The batik part is a patchwork of square pieces. Interestingly, some people say this batik part is "flashy" while others say it's "plain," and I found it interesting how people perceive things differently. The ocher-colored part is not cotton fabric, but plain nylon fabric, on which I did free-motion quilting. The floral pattern is stitched by me. For the inner bag, I deliberately used a bright floral pattern. Recently, I've received feedback that "if the color of the inner bag is dark, it's difficult to see the contents and the pockets are also difficult to see," Especially for this bag, the opening is small, making it difficult to see the contents, so I did it this way.
