"Maestro by Gibson" is a guitar brand licensed to Maestro, a subsidiary of the high-end guitar manufacturer Gibson. Maestro was originally a manufacturer of effects pedals. The main feature of this series is its shape. It boasts a look identical to the original Gibson by adopting the "Gibson headstock," which is not even allowed for its subsidiary Epiphone, and further features the "Gibson" logo that guitar fans love. New guitars in this series (Les Paul and SG) were only sold in Japan by Ishibashi Music, but they are now quite rare even in the used market.
