This was custom-ordered about 20 years ago during a demonstration sale by a craftsman at Takashimaya. I believe the craftsman was a famous one from the Tohoku region. I think it's made by flattening and weaving mountain grape vines. I'm not very knowledgeable, so that's just from memory... I ordered several, and this one was used to display flowers, but it doesn't match my other interior decor, so I'm putting it up for sale. I believe it was quite expensive. It's very beautiful handmade work and would look great in an entryway, etc. The height including the handle is about 38 cm, the height of the body is about 21 cm, and the opening is about 11 cm. Please understand that there may be some slight errors due to amateur measurements.
