Overview: This is a cassette recorder that removes one amplifier and speaker each from the TCM-48 and adds a radio in their place. It's convenient for recording radio broadcasts and transcribing them. Features: * AM/FM radio compatible with Wide FM. Note that analog broadcasts have already ended, so you will only hear static if you set it to TV. When listening to FM, extend the rod antenna and set it to FM/TV. * Sound quality switch. Switching to "Conversation" cuts the high frequencies for tape writing. Use "Normal" for music. This switch is also effective when listening to the radio. * Variable playback speed * Tape counter * External microphone jack * Cue & Review * External power jack (3V, EIAJ #1) Repair Details: Please see images 5, 6, and 7. Notes: * In image 1, the battery indicator and the recording indicator appear to be lit orange, but in reality, the battery indicator lights up red, similar to the battery level 2 indicator. * It is likely that others have replaced the two power smoothing capacitors on the main board, but I am probably the only one who has replaced the power smoothing capacitors on the tuner board. I will ignore requests for discounts unless a competitor appears who offers a similar model with the same level of maintenance at a lower price. If it doesn't sell, I will gradually lower the price, but the lower limit will be 4700 yen. * Occasionally, people confuse this with a Walkman, but this unit is a monaural tape recorder. It will play normally even if you connect a 2-pole, 3-pole, or 4-pole single-ear headphone, but the right side will not play if you connect headphones or stereo earphones. If you want to listen with both ears, please use a 2-pole male to 3-pole female conversion adapter. (This unit is a monaural cassette recorder, so it will not be stereo.) * The image of the pause switch, which is difficult to see in image 3 due to the lighting, is shown in image 4. * Only the main unit is for sale.
