Details such as the era are unknown. This is a wooden carving of a small bird with a long tail, possibly a wagtail. I purchased it a few years ago from a famous antique shop in Tokyo. The wood has aged nicely. It has a texture just like vintage processing. I think it would look very stylish depending on how you display it, such as in a Japanese modern space.
