This is a fuzz face-type effector that can handle a wide range of sounds, from a clean germanium booster to intense, high-gain distortion and gated fuzz. With the plus version, you can use the clean up and raw switches to switch between a crunch sound like when you roll back your guitar's volume and a straight, powerful fuzz sound right at your feet. It's not affected by buffers or the effects in front of it, so it can be placed anywhere on your pedalboard. This specification allows for the use of a booster to increase separation and distortion, similar to a big muff.
