This is a handmade, antique-style wooden tray designed to hold small items you want to keep within reach while playing, such as a metronome, tuner, reed case, swab, mute, rosin, capo, pencil, smartphone, and glasses. It's designed to be inserted into the center of a commercially available resin stay on a music stand. The tray can be kept almost horizontal because the stay is angled. It can also be attached to stationary music stands like a Manhasset (see photo 6). The outer dimensions of the tray, which has sponge cushioning on the bottom board to prevent loud noises during ensemble practice, are 257mm wide x 98mm deep x 32mm high. It weighs only 160g, making it easy to remove and carry. *There are three types of music stand racks: A, B, and C, depending on the mounting method.
