It's well-known that David Gilmour of Pink Floyd added a mini-switch to his Stratocaster to get the front + rear half-tone sound, which isn't possible with standard Strat wiring. This circuit, however, uses a switch-equipped pot instead of a mini-switch, allowing you to output the front + rear half-tone. The front + rear half-tone sound is similar to a Telecaster, and it's a very usable tone, so I recommend it. Selector: OKA 5-way Pots: CTS 250k Switch Pot: Montreux Push-Push 250k Capacitor: Orange Drop 0.047uF 600v Wiring: Fender Cross Wire When the switch is off and the pot is pushed in, it functions as standard Strat wiring. When the switch is on, the following applies: - Selector in the front or rear position: Front/Rear half-tone - Selector in the center, front + center, or center + rear position: Front + Center + Rear half-tone (all pickups connected in parallel) Tone control: The middle pot controls the front + center. The switch pot controls the rear tone. The pickups can be wired in the same positions as a standard Stratocaster. A Switchcraft jack is also included.
