This is a Greg Rich Loar guitar, inspired by the legendary builder Lloyd Loar who laid the foundation for Gibson's rise in the 1920s. Known for its 1920s-30s aesthetic (closely resembling the headstock logo of the original Gibson) and high-cost performance with solid wood construction, this is the company's current top-of-the-line model. The original owner upgraded it with a pickguard, and the next owner used it only for test playing. I acquired it and installed Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbuckers (https://espguitars.co.jp/seymourduncan/4522/), which are praised for their similarity to vintage PAFs. I had the frets and neck adjusted at a repair shop and used it for home practice for a few months. I am now selling it because I purchased a full-hollow body guitar. The body has only minor scratches and no dents, and is in beautiful condition. The original owner polished the fingerboard. The strings are D'Addario PL013 and 017 for the 1st and 2nd strings, and Thomastik Infeld JS112 for the 3rd to 6th strings, providing a smooth setup without harshness in the high register. Important Notes: * The truss rod wrench insertion point was buried in the original state, so a recess has been made for adjustment (see image 4). * ALLPARTS PG-9817-023 Bound Black L-5 Pickguard has been added (Note: It was attached to the body top with double-sided tape, but the tape has been removed to avoid deterioration and discoloration [see image 6]. New double-sided tape will be provided to those who want it). * The bridge has been changed to GRAPHTECH (PS-7552-N0) for tonal adjustment. The original ebony bridge (see image 10) is also included. A semi-hard case HOSCO AC-0717 is also included. All previous owners and I are non-smokers. The acoustic sound resonates beautifully as expected, with beautiful tones in the high positions and rich natural reverb, truly a Loar. The beautiful AAA-grade solid wood and lacquer finish make it highly attractive for display as well. This is being offered at almost cost price, including the purchase price, various maintenance fees, and the cost of the pickups. I sincerely hope it finds a good home. Added on November 24, 2025: The string height has been readjusted at a repair shop for easier playability.
