This is an auction for a small, used wooden fish basket (oke-birou) that I acquired second-hand. It's quite rare, so I've kept it hanging in my room for many years, but I'm selling it to declutter. I haven't made any changes to it since I got it, except for the string. The original owner has applied an overcoat of paint. The lid has a built-in bait container, which is an unusual feature. I'm not sure if it was original or added later. The fish entry is located off-center, which makes me think it wasn't part of the original design, but please judge from the images. There are scratches and overpainting, but I don't think there are any major scratches or cracks. The body has a slight bulge and is thinly constructed, and in my opinion, the craftsmanship is good. The lid fits snugly, and even when closed and turned upside down, it doesn't fall off. There's a mark on the bottom, but it's unreadable due to the overpainting.
