This is a desk clock modeled after a track and field clock. It can be used with batteries, but the time display is dim, so I was using it with an AC adapter. The dimness is inherent to the clock's design. The AC adapter is not the original and was purchased used, so please be aware that it has some scratches. The clock itself has no noticeable scratches.
