I purchased this item approximately 20 years ago from a craftsman in Aomori. It is Akebi craftwork with age-related deterioration. I have occasionally washed it with water to maintain it. I love Akebi craftwork and bought this, but I am letting it go now due to decluttering. There is one broken part (see photo 5).
