端渓硯 (Duanxi Inkstone) Likely from the Song Pit. Being old, the stone quality differs from recent Song Pit inkstones. Size: Length: Approximately 12.8 cm Width: Approximately 9 cm Thickness: Approximately 1.8 cm Weight: 324 grams. No box. The ink path has a smooth feel, but you can feel the sharpness of the stone. The stone particles sparkle. A pine carving is applied. The stone patterns are also beautiful. Although it's a small inkstone, it can be used not only for kana, fine writing, and sutra copying, but also for writing several sheets of hanshi (half-size paper) due to the depth of the ink well. This is a well-used inkstone, so there are age-related scratches and stains. Please check the images. Photos 1 to 8 appear slightly darker in the images than in reality. Photos 9 to 16 were taken in a bright environment to make the scratches easier to see, and the colors appear brighter. No color processing has been done.
