While there are many scratches and scuffs overall, there are no major damages or areas that would lead to breakage. There are no large chips or cracks on the ferrule, but there is some paint peeling. There are also areas where the paint has been reapplied. I was able to use this rod without any problems this year. I think it's a good rod for beginners to start with. With 85, you can easily handle it and reduce the weight, and if you get used to it, you can extend it to 90 to search for points over a wide area. Rolling TOP rotation is good. No rod bag.
