The fabric is a bit stiff, so opinions may vary on whether it's suitable for loungewear, but I have also used it as a sleepwear (over a romper) to keep my child warm. The fabric is sturdy, so it doesn't easily get fuzzy or pilled, and the neckline is clean, but please be aware that there are some slight stains due to aging. These are all small and difficult to see, such as on the crotch area, so it should be fine for everyday wear if not used as fashionable clothing.
