The design has raised and recessed areas. There are no engravings, but it appears to be silver-plated copper with the raised areas rubbed away. When the tree patterns are aligned, the five plates fit perfectly together, so I believe they were made using a mold and pressed, rather than by hand. The five plates are quite heavy (530g). Perhaps they were intended for individual servings. There is no particular damage, but they are not recent. They are old plates that have been stored in a closet for a long time, so I have listed them as "used with scratches and stains."
