Especially for Level 3, less than 10% is written in. Only quick notes were made at the end for mistakes. Until then, I was doing it in a notebook without writing in the books. Also, since the school distributed printouts, I didn't use them much. Level Pre-2 has mostly been written in, but it's very light and easily erasable.
