The material is nylon. I received this as a novelty item when I purchased a travel coat from Mackintosh. I think it can be used as a small daypack when traveling, or as a bag for carrying luggage for hiking, the beach, pool, gym, etc. It has a bit of a worn feel, but there are no stains, so I think it can still be used.
