Since opening his workshop in 1880, he received various awards and exhibited at the Paris World's Fair in 1900. Then, in 1933, his grandson-in-law, Franz Kirschnek, established his own company, which became the current Franz Kirschnek. The current workshop is located in Erlangen, near Bubenreuth, Germany.
