This is a commemorative medal from the Apollo 15 mission, launched in August 1971. It was the fourth mission in the Apollo program to successfully land on the moon. The three astronauts depicted on the medal are, from left to right: David Scott, the mission commander; Alfred Worden, the command module pilot; and James Irwin, the lunar module pilot. Apollo 15 was the first mission to use the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV). It is a large medal and in excellent condition. Made by Matsumoto Kosho Kogyo. No box.
