Two handwritten shikishi (decorative paper boards) by Kintaro Muraoka, a Japanese interior ministry bureaucrat and politician. He served as Superintendent General of the Metropolitan Police Department, a member of the House of Representatives, an elected Governor of Hokkaido, and a member of the House of Councillors. His son is Nobutaka Machimura, former Speaker of the House of Representatives. These were received directly from him by a family member. There is discoloration and staining due to aging.
