It has a Jean Baptiste Vuillaume label, but French violins from this era often had copy models of famous instruments made, so I believe it's the same type. The model is Stradivarius type. Even the network of instrument dealers said, "The maker is probably Mougenot?" and indeed, it captures the characteristics well. ● Construction It's skillfully made and light at 478g (including ebony fittings). The scroll and woodwork on the edges are also superb.
