Thank you for viewing! This is a bag for a shinobue (Japanese bamboo flute) made with a clasp. I made this because I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice if there was something like this?" after noticing things like the strings of my usual shinobue bag easily coming undone, or the flute slipping out when placed in the obi (sash) of my hanten (traditional Japanese coat). I wanted something that could be taken out and put away quickly. My fellow hayashi (musical ensemble) members gave it high praise, so I decided to try listing it. Please be aware that this is handmade by an amateur, so the construction may be rough, the stitching may be uneven, or it may be fragile. If you are looking for a perfect product, please refrain from purchasing. No claims, no returns, please. Also, since a clasp (metal fitting) is used, please be careful not to scratch the flute when taking it in and out. I've attached two D-rings to the long side of the flute bag. You can attach your own strap and use it as a crossbody bag (or shoulder bag). I've also attached a string diagonally in the center of the flute bag. I hope you can use it to prevent the flute from falling out when you put it in your obi (the width of the obi may not fit). Material: 100% polyester Obi scraps used Gold and silver thread used Flat measurement (approximate) Total length: 46cm (including metal fittings) Width: 5cm Strap part: 12cm (including metal fittings) It seems to be able to accommodate flutes up to about 43cm long. The flute used for the photo (length about 42cm, outer circumference about 6.2cm) is wrapped in plastic wrap for the photo. Also, the flute is not included.
