This is a clay bell in the shape of a red demon (oni). It is a local folk toy that has been familiar as a decoration for the Setsubun festival, as a charm against evil, and as a good luck charm since ancient times. It is palm-sized and has a strong presence, with a simple and warm expression. There are scratches on the right ear and near the string hole on the back. In addition, there is some fading and small paint剥がれ (peeling) due to aging. Please check the photos for details.
