U.S. Military Surplus During the 1940s, in the era of World War II, soldiers going off to war had a custom of giving accessories to their families and lovers back home. It's a very rare design. The heart-shaped locket features the U.S. Army eagle emblem. The inside has photo frames and cellophane on both sides, and it's in mint condition with only age-related deterioration. Although it doesn't have an outer box, it appears to be deadstock, unused, and never been in anyone's hands.
