The material is 70% cotton and 30% acrylic. I took several photos trying to capture the color as close to the actual product as possible, and I think the color in the fourth photo is the closest. It's not too thick and is very soft, so it can be worn alone or layered as an inner layer without feeling bulky. It's versatile and I think it will be useful. There may be some slight pilling in places, so there is a sense of wear from use. Other than that, I don't think there are any noticeable stains or damage, but please understand that this is a used item that has been stored at home and inspected by an amateur, and has been worn by a child.
