About the Stone Flute... 【The Oldest Flute in Japan】 In ancient times... from the Jomon period or even earlier, stone flutes existed in Japan. They are not artificially made, but are entirely natural instruments created by the Niogai, a type of bivalve. They produce mysterious sounds with high frequencies. "Although they can be made artificially, the most pure ones are those created by nature. That's why they call upon the gods." (From Stone Flute Player: Mr. Yokozawa) This is a rare stone with a hole made by a shell for its home. It is a natural stone flute. Stones with beautiful shapes that are easy to play and produce beautiful tones are very valuable. I could only find a few after searching for several hours. When I was a beginner, I could make a sound from the hole after practicing for about 30 minutes. After practicing, I was able to smoothly produce very beautiful high notes. I select and sell stone flutes that produce good tones, but it may take a little practice to get the hang of it at first. That is also a fun process. The direction that produces a good sound is written on a peelable sticker. For holes that go all the way through, please cover the opposite side with your finger. It seems that the sound becomes easier to produce when soaked in water. Also, there are tutorials on YouTube, so please refer to them. After collecting them, I visited a shrine famous as a power spot with the stone flute. (Photos are included) I have soaked them in fresh water for a week, washed them carefully one by one with a brush, and then soaked them in the shrine's spring water for a week and dried them in the sun. Please note that some may still have some dirt or shells inside. After listing them, I store them in a plastic bag in a dark place, but please wash them once before using them. Before packing, I will thoroughly disinfect them. I will take waterproof measures and wrap them in bubble wrap to send them to you with care.
