Thank you for viewing. These are poccoli (clog-like footwear) for Shichi-Go-San (Children's Day) from the Showa 50s (1975-1984). They feature a gorgeous red and gold maki-e (lacquer work) design of pine trees and cranes, and cute thong straps. They have tatami (woven straw) soles. The bells still have the same gentle, understated sound as they did back then. And they are poccoli with a lucky, widening shape. They were purchased at Tenguya, a long-established shop in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. They have been used several times, so there are some stains and damage. Please check the photos.
