This is a clear, transparent opal. It's a type of opal with beautiful play-of-color in reds and greens within the clear stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It's a no-brand item. The play-of-color is, in my opinion, somewhat subdued. I purchased this, but haven't worn it much, so I'd like to pass it on to someone who will. * I've only worn it a few times, and I don't think there are any noticeable scratches or stains, but since it's a used item, I've listed it under this "condition." * At the time of purchase: Silver925 natural opal ring, Mexican origin, size 11 (actual measurement is size 12; I did feel it was larger than a size 11). The setting is 8x6mm. The stone itself was listed as 7.8x6.4mm. There is a silver925 hallmark on the slender ring. ◯ There are no accompanying case or accessories.
