This is a Takatsuki (high-footed bowl) with a fish motif by the late Toshio Kinjo, the eldest son of Jiro Kinjo, a Living National Treasure of Tsuboya-yaki pottery. This is an auspicious pattern that symbolizes the prosperity of descendants. The fish are carved using the line-carving technique. The fish motif has long been a standard design in Yachimun and is still loved today. There are no chips, and it has a nice glaze, overall in good condition.
