Thank you for viewing. This is a listing for the SEIKO SCED039. This is a re-release of the model made popular by its appearance on the wrist of the protagonist Ripley in the movie "Aliens 2." This watch, with its unique appearance, was designed by the master Italian industrial designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro, who also had a strong influence on SEIKO products. Regarding the condition, it is currently running, and the chronograph start, stop, and clear functions are working without any problems. As for the battery replacement, I have not done it myself, so please consult a watch shop if the watch stops upon arrival. I believe that items in this condition, with the protective tape still attached, are quite rare as I haven't seen them for sale recently. I am listing this as "new and unused" as it has been stored in a dark place after purchase, but please understand that this is a personally stored item before making a purchase.
