Egnater Tweaker 88 Guitar Amp Head This 88W amp head features 12AX7-Eater premium select vacuum tubes (x4) in the preamp and high-power KT88 matched pair vacuum tubes (x2) in the power amp. Egnater was founded by Bruce Egnater, whose amps have supported the sounds of guitarists such as Steve Vai, George Lynch, Joe Perry, Kirk Hammett, Nuno Bettencourt, and Dimebag Darrell. However, it seems that Egnater is not as well-known in Japan as it is overseas, and I think this amp is not very common. The tweed-like appearance is quite cool. With mini-switches, you can switch between three tone modes: "BRIT/AC/USA" (Marshall, VOX, and Fender styles), "Clean/Hot" gain modes, "Modern/Vintage" amp voicing, "Deep/Tight" low-frequency control, "Normal/Bright" high-frequency control, and "Normal/Mid Cut" mid-frequency control. Furthermore, these mini-switches work independently for each of the two LEAD/RHYTHM channels, allowing for a wide variety of sound creation. The footswitch allows you to switch between the two LEAD/RHYTHM channels, turn the effects loop on/off, and turn the boost on/off. The boost can also be turned on/off for each channel, which is convenient. The effects loop has a built-in buffer.
