This is a Strat-type guitar that combines the neck of an Epiphone S500 made by Samick in 1986-87 with a body from another company. (There is a serial number on the back of the headstock and a model number sticker near the joint) According to information from overseas sites, the S500 body seems to be alder plywood, but it has been replaced with a solid body. (I don't know the manufacturer, but I think the material is basswood) The neck is the later type of S500, characterized by the large Gibson logo. Nut width is about 42.5mm, scale length is regular scale of about 647.5mm, fingerboard radius is 305mm, nut is cow bone, and weight is about 3.55Kg. A thin plate, shim, is inserted in the gap of the neck pocket. The neck is almost straight, with room in the rod, the frets are medium-high type with almost no wear, and the gauge is 010-046, with the string height adjusted to about 1.75mm for the 6th string at the 12th fret and about 1.25mm for the 1st string. There is a dent on the 1st string side near the 10th fret on the back of the neck, and clear coat peeling around the screw holes of the truss rod cover on the headstock top. (Not visible as it is hidden by the truss rod cover) There are traces of the original pickguard and back panel screw holes being filled on the body. The neck alone is rare, so it might be good for a custom base. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about scratches and signs of use, as there are some dents and scratches on the body. An aftermarket hard case (with slight stains), arm, back plate, and spare neck joint screws are included. (The hard case has no manufacturer markings, but it is a Peavey GCHE case) Currently listed only on Mercari and Ra◯ma.
