These are plates I received from my mother-in-law. They were purchased during her time living in the United States. They were bought about 40 years ago and have some soiling due to long-term storage. (Please check the photos) It appears they haven't been used. This is a popular series from Wedgwood, Columbia. The design was manufactured from 1964 to 1979. The main motif is the Griffin, a winged creature from Greek mythology. The pair of griffins, combined with delicate floral patterns, create a classic British design. While there are colors like green and gold, this is the most vibrant enamel plate. 27cm The backstamp is a black stamp. There are some scratches, but the item shows little signs of use and is generally in good condition. It would be lovely to use as an underplate, with the flowers and griffins on the rim peeking through. As this series is no longer in production, it is very valuable.
