This is likely an old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It's a piece with a vibrant vermillion lacquer and elegant landscape and motif maki-e. The varied, allegorical motifs of the e-kawari maki-e are all generously sized and delicately drawn, of high quality. There are slight cracks on two lids as shown in image 14, and scratches on another two lids as shown in image 15. The bodies of the bowls also have scratches and areas where the lacquer has been reapplied. The size is 11cm in diameter and 8cm in height. Please understand that this is an antique item.
