This is a Bizen-yaki matcha bowl, said to have been beloved by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. This piece is the work of veteran Bizen-yaki artist, Mr. Fumio Mitsuke, and is one of the most distinctive pieces in my father's long-standing collection of ceramics. *Unused, but has been stored in a warehouse for a long time.
