① "It's A Blue World" (85) ② "The Velvet Fog" (70) [Review] ① A reissue of Torme's masterpiece, famous for its monochrome seaside jacket, with a different jacket design. Recorded in 1955. I personally think it's an incredibly attractive jacket for fans, as if you can almost hear that Velvet Voice. The album mainly features standard numbers from movies and musicals, but "Isn't It Romantic" and "Polka Dots And Moonbeams" were particularly favorite ballads of mine, a "Torme enthusiast." ② A masterpiece with the title that became Torme's nickname. There's an anecdote that he didn't like this nickname, but I think Torme's heartfelt vocals are best described by the word "velvet."
